16th December, 2016

Today Royal Buckley Town Band formed up with members past and present to play for the send off of one of the longest serving members of our band. Glyn Smith having nearly 70 years of service, not only played in the band, but conducted the band over many years leading us to great success. It is because of his dedication and hard work that the band is what it is today. A sad day for family and friends as we played for him one more time, in remembering the life of not just the band's, but one of Buckley's biggest characters!

29th March, 2017

Today Royal Buckley Town Band had the honour of playing at the funeral of Margaret Shone. Margaret worked tirelessly for the band over many years in helping to not just run the band but to raise money for the band room renovations, new uniforms and the many exchange trips the band took part in. She was the bands MC at many concerts and the people of Buckley recognised her professional approach in fronting the band. A sad day for her family and friends, as we say farewell to a true Buckley lass.
